This post is a short tribute to my sister, Olga, gone too soon.

I often look at my two daughters and my mind takes me back to the past, recalling my relationship with my older sister. We had almost 6 years apart and as far as I remember, she always took care of me, played with me. We shared secrets, we fought, we cried, we made up, we loved each other dearly.

Unfortunately 3 years ago she lost a fight to cervical cancer. She fought hard and she loved the life. But some battles can’t be won.

This is  picture of the last time I saw my sister in person (left to right – our mom, me and on my sister):

She left behind two children, one of whom barely knew her as she was diagnosed when the baby was just 7 months old and passed away when she was just over 2 years old. My mother keeps her memory alive and tells both children lots of stories about their mother.

I look at my daughters and I wish for them to grow loving and cherishing each other. I hope they grow being a strong support for one another in everything.
